Westminster Reference Library is a public library in the heart of London’s West End. Situated on the site of Sir Isaac Newton’s house, the library’s architecture reflects the original building’s charming style and continues its rich history.

 

We have served the public for over 90 years and hold a collection that draws on our culturally significant location. Westminster Reference Library offers a truly unique place to learn with publicly accessible collections. 

 

The Art and Design collection is of outstanding national significance, designated by Arts Council England.

 

Containing a rich selection of late 19th and early 20th century publications covering architecture, antiquities, design, fashion, fine art, and photography. The library holds an extensive periodical collection including significant runs of Apollo, British Vogue, Tatler and Studio.

 

This publicly accessible collection continues to grow with the latest exhibition catalogues, new publications and supports a fantastic art lending collection. The collection's breadth of subject matter is bound to inspire creatives.
